About Me

Monique Giral Johns - Great Dunmow, Essex, from Marseille.

I have always loved languages and cultures and one of my hobbies when travelling abroad is to learn a few words or sentences and try to communicate with the people. Not always very efficient… but rather fun and always well received. If you speak it, it gets across!

I have an Advanced MA in Business and Institutional Communication, an MA in English Media and Culture and a BA in Applied Foreign Languages. I am French, I have lived in France where I was born, in the Netherlands, Spain, the Isle of Man and in Britain since 2008.

Throughout my career, I have worked with people from different backgrounds and nationalities and always enjoyed sharing experiences and transmitting knowledge. I have been fortunate to be in charge of the development of employee education and promotion in a large company. I developed from scratch a half home/half workplace training programme for employees wanting to progress in their career and therefore needing to improve their qualifications. The programme has been very popular and helped a lot of colleagues to gain confidence and achieve their objectives.

This experience has taught me that with the right approach, progress is always possible.
